At Tuesdays Surrey County Council cabinet meeting I was appointed as Cabinet Member for Resources and Corporate Support.

My main responsibility is to manage Finance and the Capital programme for the whole of Surrey in conjunction with the service leads.

At the council meeting on 9th February we will be approving a £1bn revenue budget (money for everyday services) and £1.9bn capital budget over 5 years (money for long term assets such as school places, care facilities and infrastructure.

I am delighted to join the cabinet - it puts me at the heart of decision making at Surrey County Council and provides a platform to champion the needs of our area - both the Warlingham division and Tandridge as a whole.

My background is as a Chartered Accountant working in the big 4 accountancy firms and in industry.
