Surrey Conservatives are investing £6.25 million in redeveloping two fire station within Surrey. Lingfield Fire Station has been selected. We are please to these level of Investment within Tandridge and we are looking forward to see these works completed.
Chief Fire Officer of Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), Dan Quin, said: “The current fire stations at both Chobham and Lingfield have served crews and communities well, but it’s now time to improve upon the facilities available and thanks to investment from Surrey County Council, we are now able to do this.”
SCC’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Community Protection (which includes SFRS), Denise Turner Stewart, added: “It’s fantastic to be able to invest in our fire stations and I’m so thankful to all teams and the local crews who have been involved in preparing these proposals. I would strongly encourage Chobham and Lingfield residents to take part and give their feedback so we can make sure our plans are on the right track – this is after all, a community fire station.”
The aim is to begin construction in October 2023 and completion in October 2024.
